Cellophane

It all begins with an idea, what if I can create a sunrise with nothing more than some cellophane and colored lights. That simple idea spiraled as I discovered the fascinating textures that were reveled when lighting cellophane. This series is an exploration into the unique, and uncannily biological appearance of plastic wrap when exposed to colored lights and photographed up close. The photographs in this series are intended to be abstract and to confuse reality and fantasy while creating seemingly biological forms out of cellophane.
